These two books by William Preston published in 1804 and 1821 were once part of the library of the ‘Grand Lodge of the Punjab’.
Both volumes had been poorly stored following their return to the UK and required conservation, restoration and rebinding.
Paper repairs were carried out to both volumes, new end-papers added and both volumes were rebound in quarter leather.
Both volumes contained many library labels, stickers and printed ephemera, all of which were soaked of and preserved.
